DEvelopment plan for climbing
To help increase the participation level in climbing there are several options to take. The first option to help develop climbing skills is to participate in the event more often which may include drills such as bouldering to become more confident with the climbing abilities.Other options include personal training with a professional coach which will help increase general concerns with climbing.
Other climbing factors which will help increase in development could be training programmes consisting on strength bearing exercises in the upper body to help stay on top of the rocks successfully.
Factors for developing a rock climber
To increase ability in rock climbing i would firstly want to find a rock climbing facilitiy for beginners which has good health and safety regulations.
I would include a strength program at the gym which will increase my general health but mostly focus on the upper body which will be focused on the biceps and triceps. I will also do grip exercises which will help tighten the grip when practicing rock climbing which will increase the chance of being able to hold the rock for longer.
I would increase my all round flexibility to reach further for complicated hold positions in rock climbing , by doing this i will be focusing on spinal stretches such as holds to touch my toes , which will also involve passive stretching with my partner.
To enable my self to reach higher holds in a climbing facility i will need to increase power which willallow me to jump higher in order to grab hold of complex holds. To do this i will have to be in the gym twice a week doing fartlek programmes which will slowly increase my power ratio
To develop my climbing i will need to improve on my overall co-ordination which will give me less of an opportunity to hurt my self if i fall. To improve on my co-ordination i will have to take part in eye strengthening exercises , other options include trampoline exercise which will help arobatic
