Surfing organisation - British Surfing Association (BSA)
The purpose of the association is to increase the awareness of the sport through out Britain which will help promote the sport. This association was short lived because it became Bankrupt in 2010. A new organisation of surfing was born ( surfing GB)
surfing Great Britain (SGB)
The reason for surfing GB was to take over the role of (BSA) to continue making surfing become more popular. This association builds on the strengths of (BSA) to work for a brighter future for the UK surfing scene.
Surfing GB aims to provide all Surfers and all those who have an interest in Surfing with support, advice and opportunity. Surfing GB is working on becoming a national governing body for the sport in Great Britain.
